Racing...Coming Soon!
Before I start things off, I've got a couple more pics from New Zealand that I got off my camera that got left behind (the abbreviated story is that the camera was in New Zealand until a little over a week ago).

Now on to the bike racing part. This weekend is going to be my start to what looks like is going to be a big race season. In less than a month, I'm going to be off to the Sea Otter Classic, where I'll be doing my first Pro/1/2 NRC (National) race. After that 3 race weekend, I'm going to attempt to hold my fitness for my return to the Tour of the Gila at the beginning of May.
My training this off season has been a little different from past years, most notably because I didn't include weights in my program. I was nervous about this at first, but my power output has been consistently higher than the same time period last year, so I think things are ok. I keep going back to the saying "The best way to get faster on the bike is to ride the bike." Saturday will be my first fitness test, and hopefully I am on the right track.
